Mrs. Asplen

 Hello. My name is Jennifer Asplen and I am the Primary Autistic Support Teacher at Spring Ridge Elementary. I am certified in elementary and special education and have my M.Ed in Special Education - all from Penn State University. I am currently working on my second Masters in Education through West Chester University. I have been teaching and working in elementary and special education since 1995. This is my 15th year at Wilson teaching special education (autistic support or learning support). My focus has been supporting students to be their best. We work hard at Spring Ridge individualizing each student's program to match his/her strengths and needs. We have a super team of teachers, support staff, related service providers and building staff.  YOU are the biggest part of our team! Communication is the key to creating a happy and productive school experience. Thank you for all you do.

When I am not teaching and doing school work, you will find me with my family and friends. My husband Mark and I live in Colony Park with our two daughters, Cecilia and Sarah. Both girls attend West Chester University - Ceci is a junior and Sarah is a freshman.  We also have a cat (Princess) and two kittens (Blaze and Echo). I enjoy keeping busy, laughing and learning new things.  Every day is always a new adventure!
