Say hello to Miso, our two-year-old leopard gecko! Miso may be small, but he brings a big personality to our classroom. Leopard geckos are unique reptiles known for their spotted, leopard-like patterns and calm, friendly nature. Unlike many other lizards, they don't have sticky toe pads. Instead, they walk on their tiny clawed feet and even look like they are smiling!
Miso loves to hang out in his warm habitat, nap in his caves, and hunt for tasty bugs like wax worms and mealworms. He’s a great class pet because he’s quiet, sleeps a lot during the day, is low-maintenance, and enjoys being observed more than handled! Watching Miso helps us slow down, pay attention to detail, and appreciate the natural world. We’re lucky to have him as part of our classroom family!
