DeVotchKa is an American four-piece multi-instrumental and vocal ensemble. They have had a huge impact on Mrs. Lecatsas! She has loved their music since their inception as a band! 

Based in Denver, Colorado, the quartet is made up of Nick Urata, who sings and plays the theremin, guitar, bouzouki, piano, and trumpet; Tom Hagerman, who plays the viola, accordion, and piano; Jeanie Schroder, who sings and plays sousaphone, double bass, and flute; and Shawn King, who plays percussion and trumpet!

She was lucky enough to meet them in a VIP setting and they all thanked her for teaching music! It was a huge highlight! 

This year, she has worked very hard on an arrangement for elementary orchestra to play! "The Winner is..." is an exciting theme that she can't wait to share with her students and her colleagues!
