My name is Karie Braca! This is my 29th year teaching and my 10th year here at Spring Ridge! My undergraduate degree is from Salve Regina University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as a dual major in Elementary Education and Special Education. I completed my graduate work at DePaul University, earning my master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Reading. Before coming to Wilson, I taught in Connecticut, where I was born and raised, as well as in Lake Forest, Illinois, and Fishers, Indiana.

My husband, John, and I live in town with our daughter, Lily, is a senior at The Hill School! Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, playing tennis, and skiing. We also have an almost 9-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback named Zibu, who we absolutely adore!

We had a wonderful summer! Our daughter was selected to play tennis at Rafa Nadal’s High Performance Academy in Mallorca, so we dropped her off in Barcelona and had the opportunity to explore both Barcelona and Mallorca. We also spent time with family and caught up with friends. When we weren’t traveling, most days, you could find us hanging out in our backyard, relaxing by the pool. It was a fun, busy, and relaxing summer, and I’m excited to be back and ready for another great school year!
