Hello!
I am originally from Stroudsburg, Pa, where I attended Stroudsburg School District for K-12th grade. Growing up, I developed a love for art, music, and...LEARNING! I also enjoy reading, watching movies, spending time with family, and traveling! Some of my favorite places that I have visited include France, England, Italy, and Northern Ireland! I currently live in Sinking Spring, PA with my husband, Ben, our son Greyson, our daughter Rylee, and Shiba Inu, Milo.
I graduated summa cum laude from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and a concentration in Special Education. I also have a Master's in Educational Leadership from Penn State.
I began my career teaching students in 4th grade at Shiloh Hills Elementary in August of 2015, switched to the Intermediate Learning Support position in the fall of 2018, and moved to teaching with our 3rd grade team in fall of 2022. I love being a part of the Wilson community and having the opportunity to work with talented professionals every day!
My Classroom Philosophy
I believe in creating a classroom environment where students feel appreciated, cared for, and safe. I strive to teach my students the importance of community, independence, kindness, and responsibility. I also encourage them to be creative and confident, set goals, and always try their best. My mission as a teacher is to be a role model for my students and help them achieve their highest potential by incorporating social emotional, behavioral, and academic supports.
