OSA Athletics x Sports Central Walkathon

Hi Olympians!! Starting Oct 3, we will be having a walkathon to fundraise money for Sports Central, which is an organization dedicated to providing athletics resources to children in need across Edmonton, central and northern Alberta. More information regarding the walkathon can be found on the slideshow (link). Make sure to sign up in your teams of 4-8! At the end of walkathon, we will be having a gala to celebrate our wind and give out prizes to the most honorable teams and individuals. Be sure to follow us on social media to receive updates for when teams registrations, team orientations and our various after school events will be held!
Athletics Carnival

We hope to see everyone this Friday at the Athletics Carnival, which will be outside near the basketball courts at 3:30. Make sure to come to participate and cheer on your grade for an afternoon filled with many games and competitions. Bring all your friends because the winning grade will receive a prize! There will be photo booths which you can go to with your friends, many snacks, draws to win items, and countless opportunities to win prizes. You can even get face paint and nail paint to really show your school spirit! Make sure to dress up in either yellow, green, or maroon/pink depending on your grade. Don't forget to bring money to buy tickets so you can participate in all the unforgettable games and activities that we have planned. We can't wait to see you there!
Volleyball Tryouts

If you are interested in trying out for volleyball make sure you attend tryouts this week! They may be cut or no cut depending on the coaches, so make sure to pay attention! We will have athletics execs walking to the gyms for tryouts after school so if you would like to walk with us, meet us at the OSA front doors at 4pm. Additionally, make sure you are changed BEFORE you arrive at the schools to ensure we do not overcrowd their facilities.
Summer Beach Volleyball Tournament!

Hey Olympians! Are you in your “missing your osa friends” hours? Are you craving some good snacks and exercise? Do you need to touch grass? Look no further than Athletic’s first event this year in collaboration with SET - an OSA Beach Volleyball Tournament!
Drop in at Garneau at 1:30 and get in teams (formed by SET) to face off against mighty competition in a bracketed tournament. This event will focus on inter grade bonding, so we encourage you to come regardless of if you’re in SET or not!
