Mural Project

What started as an idea between a couple of friends had grown to so much more: a photo booth for local vloggers and a space that OSA students eagerly share with their friends.

Last year, our Art Society club members collaborated together to plan, design, and paint a largescale mural on the sheds near Old Scona.

We ultimately decided that the mural could also serve as inspiration and hope for both the school and local community, with the phrase “Spread your wings” across the top. Each club member was able to express their unique creativity, with each feather of the wings designed and painted by a different club member.

While painting the mural, we had several passers-by thanking us for brightening their community and spreading positivity.

We hope to make this a yearly Art Club event by painting more murals on the buildings near Whyte Ave.

Our OSA mural has become a staple in the OSA community, with many students taking photos with it and it being used in a Student Engagement Team events as well.
