The Clayton Christensen Institute is a leader in blended learning research and in "disrupting" traditional education. From their extensive research with schools, teachers, and students, the Christensen Institute has defined blended learning as follows:
“Blended learning is a formal education program in which a student learns at least in part through online learning with some element of student control over time, place, path, and/or pace and at least in part at a supervised brick-and-mortar location away from home.”
BPS Instructional Technology has adopted this definition to guide instructional practices in technology integration and blended learning in Brevard.
