Brevard Join Google Classroom Instructions Document with step-by-step instructions on how to join a Google Classroom and how to add the shortcut app on Launchpad

Beginning Google Classroom (FETC 2017)  Slideshow on "Beginning Google Classroom and the Paperless Classroom" that walks you step-by-step through the process of setting up your own Google Classroom teacher account.

Google Add-ons  Google Add-ons are extra features within Google G Suite (such as EasyBib, Google Translate, Grammarly, ProWritingAid, SAS Writing Reviser, autoCrat, etc.) that enhance particular apps such as Docs, Slides, Forms, and Sheets.  This slideshow on "Google Add Ons" by Tam Rutenber walks you through how to find and install some useful Google Add Ons for both you and your students.  Also, check out the 15 Best Google Add-Ons for Education by Victoria Davis.  

Interactive sites and tools to use in the classroom

Blendspace  Blend your classroom with digital content to create a lesson (or search the Lesson Library for already created lessons). 

Padlet  Make a digital bulletin board or wall for quick and easy student collaboration and comments in real-time.

Classroom Screen  Easy to use digi-screen for your classroom.  Pick your background and choose to project a timer, text area, drawing, name picker, QR code, volume sensor, exit poll, and/or work symbols.

Nearpod  Students interact with the presentation as you teach. Create or import your own slides or draw from created lessons.  

Learning Ally  Access to over 80,000 audiobooks for students with reading accommodations, specific learning disabilities, blind or visually impaired, or other physical disabilities (and their teachers).  Find the audiobooks on Learning Ally and then download to Link app--a reader that can be downloaded to a computer or smartphone.  Once student accounts have been created, use the Learning Ally Link Screenshot Walkthrough slide show to guide students in downloading the Link app and accessing audiobooks.

Kahoot!  Game-based platform that can be played on any device to review or quiz students.  Works on any device connected to the internet.

Quizlet  Search for or create study sets of flashcards (words, pictures, diagrams) to gain access to learning tools, flashcards, and games for review.

Quizlet Live  Turns any Quizlet Study Sets into an interactive game similar to Kahoot.  Access the Teacher Quick-start Guide for a step-by-step guide to get started.

Blooket is a web-based quiz game platform for group competition or solo study.  Blooket joins an expanding group of game show platforms for the classroom.  It's a fun and engaging way to review or introduce background knowledge.

Socrative  Students share their understanding by answering formative assessment questions in a variety of formats: quizzes, quick question polls, exit tickets and space races.  Works on computers, laptops, tablets and phones. 

Go Formative  Go Formative is similar to Kahoot or Google Forms for assessment, but takes assessment beyond multiple choice questions as students can Show Their Work (Draw), Drag and Drop, Audio Recording, Graphing, Essay, Video Response, etc.  It also allows teachers to track student growth over time.  Here is a video  that shows how teachers can get started.
