Entrance Requirements

To enter the P2 P Academy, interested students must submit the following to PBMHS via an online application process. Details to apply are on the next page.

  • EPO magnet Application for Non-Zoned students

  • Most recent report card emailed to Stefany Colona at colona.stefany@brevardschools.org

  • A one-page, properly formatted essay that outlines why the student feels they will be a good fit for the program. Emailed to colona.stefany@brevardschools.org.

Prior to the end of their sophomore year, students in the P2P Academy must meet Florida Tech’s dual enrollment requirements (click here).

PROGRAMMATIC REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of the P2P Academy will require the following of the student:

  • Retention of a cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA throughout all four years of the program.

  • While at the high school, students must take academically rigorous course work in core academic classes

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES

  • Opportunity to participate in a student-driven, school-based senior project that seeks to solve a problem and provide solutions to improve some aspect of Palm Bay Magnet High School through the Advanced Placement Capstone courses (Seminar & Research).

  • Mentorship Program with local industry experts in student’s interested fields.

  • Work experiences in student’s field of interest.

  • Field trip experiences in various STEAM fields.
