I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, which is why I adore HORSES. I went to college in Tennessee, where I earned a basketball scholarship and played all four years of college. I love all sports, and I still play quite a few of them.
I have two boys. My oldest is 17 years old. He has his Pilot's license and is currently working towards is instrument rating. He also is a boxer. My youngest is 15 years old. His passion is SOCCER and scuba diving. We are pretty much gone every weekend attending soccer games. I also have a dog. He is a Vizsla. He is 4 years old and his name is Maverick. Last, we have Stormy, our guinea pig that goes to class with me every day. My family is my whole heart!
I began teaching in Houston, Texas, and taught there for 6 years. This is my 10th year at Freedom 7 Elementary. I have many passions in life, but here are a few: NASA, space, human space flight, science, scuba diving, the ocean, and sea life!
I love teaching! My favorite part is getting to know my new students each year and building relationships within my classroom. I can't wait for this next endeavor, as we learn together, new and exciting ways to learn and grow. My hope for my students is that they not only grow academically, but also become better, more loving human beings.
