On February 23rd, 2023 over 130 advanced Spanish Students participated in this year's Encuentro Cultural. These students presented culturally significant information to the group, participated in a group project, danced, and overall had a wonderful time. Below you will see all the presentations that the students were part of.
This is a great annual tradition, which encourages the sharing of information and ideas with this group of amazing students.
We have two amazing Spanish teachers being recognized this year for their great contribution to the staff at their respective schools. They have many attributes in common, including their infectious smiles and their ability to connect with the students. These lovely ladies really exemplify what we do in the World Language classroom with their passion and enthusiasm for their students. Congratulations to the both and good luck on the next round!
Bayside High School is proud to present a night of fun music and food celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
Come out and enjoy yourself and the event on October 26th at 5:30PM.
Cocoa high school treated all their students to Taco Tuesday on September 20th to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. They gave the school a taste of delicous food that represents the Mexican culture. Students also participated in art activities and contest throughout the month.
Madison Middle School had their students create flags to represent the Spanish Speaking countries and decorated the halls with them. They also have information regarding each country for the whole school to learn a bit more!
The media center has been decorated to show lots of different traditions for Hispanic nations. There is also information for all students to read regarding important individuals in different nations that are also part of the United States.
Heritage High School worked with their administration to bring a Hispanic Heritage Sprit Week to their students. Each day brings a fun theme for their spirit week celebreation. Everyone gets to be a little Hispanic all week!
Satellite High School is hosting a Hispanic Heritage Gallery night on September 22nd starting at 6PM. They will have art, food trucks, and music!
Spanish Honors Society celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month at Titusville High School during all lunches last Friday (Sept. 23). They had different candies from Latin America for students to sample, dance lessons, and photo ops.
Students, parents, and staff were able to enjoy a night of music and food during the Noche de Encanto event on October 7th. Students and parents donated delicous food that was sold as part of a fundraiser to offset competition costs. The band and orchestra played Latin Jazz and Spanish standards throughout the event.
Mrs. Reyes shared with her students her Peruvian heritage. Students dressed up and participated in activities in the Media Center. They had a great time learning about every country's information.
