Dear Students and Families,

Welcome! While I miss seeing you every day, I am excited for us to continue our art class online. We will be doing art activities weekly. These will get posted on Monday so that you can work on the lesson through the week. Don’t worry about art materials you will be amazed what you can make with things lying around your home. These activities are to keep you creating. Also don’t forget to have FUN !

We will be using Artsonia to view the activities and uploaded your pictures. Most of you have an account but if you are not set up yet please email me so I can get you started. You will log on under “Students” with the QR code or typing in the access code: XWBW-SHYX . The activities are found under the tab “View Projects”. Our projects are labeled by the week. There are bonus projects every week but you do not have to complete them.

Any other artwork that you make and would like to share please feel free to add it to the Marzolf Extras project! I can’t wait to see what you make 😊

Stay safe and healthy. Hopefully I can see you all soon!

Ms. Joseph

Marzolf Primary Art Show

Virtual Art Show

Although we were unable to see our hallways decorated with all the artwork this is a way for us to see everyone's hard work in art this year from your home.

Week 4

April 27th

Use different items from around your house to create any kind of sculpture. Let creativity be your guide!

Week 5

May 4th

Use different items to create a portrait of yourself. Start with a plate for your head from there the possibilities are endless for the rest. Find something for your eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, and body/shoulders. You can create a whole body portrait too!

Week 6

May 11 th

Grab a paper towel tube, and cut it into two or three pieces

With a marker, add some details that are on a house! Look around your house for details: your doors, windows, siding, bricks, porch.

And let's not for get a roof! Find a good tracer….a cup would be perfect! Trace, and cut it out! Cut into the middle of your circle, and STOP! (DON’T CUT THE CIRCLE IN HALF!) Slide the cut parts on top of each other, and tape it into a cone shape. Tape your cone onto the top of your tube

You can make more than one and create a little town or village! Think about who might live in your village, and add them to your village!

Week 1

April 6th

Create a color wheel with items you have around your house! Keep them in the correct order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple (just like the rainbow).

Week 2

April 13th

Create a shadow with items in your home. Have one light source (it can even be the sun) shining on your items creating a shadow behind them. Grab something to draw on and draw with. Then trace the shadows onto your 'draw on' item. Once you have the outline color it in! Feel free to add in more to the background of your picture :)

Week 3

April 20th

Draw and color a rainbow that will hang in your window for all to see! Spread a little bit of joy and happiness to people who might drive or walk by your house.
