Children's Grief Awareness Day
Children's Grief Awareness Day, which is annually recognized the Thursday before Thanksgiving, is a day to provide support and hope to grieving children during the start of the holiday season which can be a particularly difficult time of year following the death of a loved one. At Burchfield, staff and students participate in programming to provide awareness and hope to students who grieve. It is our hope that we can create a culture for students and staff to share and discuss feelings associated with grief in a safe and nurturing environment.
