Dates and Events

Students are Expected to Attend and Perform at All Concerts.

Students are expected to participate in all school concerts. The concert is a summative assessment for units studied and the performance is a different experience that working in the classroom.

Bring your families and friends and support the hard work your children have done to present their work.

See you there!

And yes, all school concerts are free of admission.

ACADEMIC AWARDS CEREMONY

Monday, June 1st.

TIME ESTIMATED: 6:00 pm. Students arrive at 5:30, we play at 5:45 and then have a feature piece during the ceremony. Students will be done between 6:30 and 6:45pm

8th Grade Students Only

MUSIC IN THE PARKS

Saturday, May 16, 2026 (not required, but so much fun!) All day/evening event. There is a fee for this event.

This is an adjudicated contest that takes place in Sandusky, Ohio. Students perform for judges along with other orchestra from across the Northeastern Region of the US. Students receive a rating and comments on their performance. After the contest we romp around Cedar Point and attend an award ceremony before returning back to Cleveland. Students must attend all school concerts to attend Music in the Parks Contest.

7th Grade students may be added depending on instrumentation needs.

Requirements:

Student has attended and performed in all school concerts.
Student follows classroom procedures and contributes positively to the classroom environment. Consistently earning 17 or above in the Weekly Contribution Grade.
Student has a C or above in orchestra and has no F's in 3rd or 4th quarter.
