Attendance

At Outwood Academy Shafton excellent attendance and punctuality is our aim for every student. Full attendance maximises learning opportunities. Our Academy attendance target of 97% is the minimum that we expect for all students. To achieve this attendance level, a student should have no more than 6 days’ absence in an entire academic year. If your attendance falls to 90% or below you will be classed as a Persistent Absentee. 90% is the equivalent of you having half a day off every single week; 85% is equivalent to you missing an entire half-term.
