Spirit Rock
Shady Grove Elementary has a spirit rock! It is located at the 3-5 car rider entrance. Parents, students and staff can “Rent the Rock” to recognize birthdays, demonstrate school spirit, thank a teacher or staff member, share congratulatory events or other fun events.
The rock is available for weekly rent at the rate of $20 per week. This is an ongoing fundraiser for our school. Please review the following guidelines. By reserving the rock, you agree to abide by these rules. Thank you so much for supporting Shady Grove.
SPIRIT ROCK GUIDELINES
● Reservations will be made through the Sign-Up Genius link, available on a first come first serve basis. The link is at the end of these guidelines. Please read these before signing up!
● Weekly cost for the reservation is now $20.00. Payment is due when the reservation is made. Use our paypal link below on this page or mail a check made payable to SHADY GROVE PTO to school. All payments are non-refundable for any reason.
● The rock may be reserved for one week. A week is defined as beginning on Friday afternoon at 4:00pm and ending the following Friday at 4:00pm. If reserved, you may begin painting the rock at 4:00pm on Friday.
● In the event of inclement weather, the renter may revisit the calendar and choose an open date for substitution. We apologize that we are unable to provide refunds.
● Only the rock may be painted. Do not paint the grass, pavement or any other material surrounding the rock. The individual or group will be held financially responsible for cleaning and/or repair costs associated with violation of this policy.
● The individual of group painting the rock assumes liability for any individual or member of the group who may be injured or incur clothing damage while painting the rock.
● Spirit rock paintings must be in good taste and cannot be used as a form of advertisement. All content must follow Shady Grove Elementary School’s behavior matrix. Please refrain from political or discriminatory remarks. Shady Grove PTO will monitor the spirit rock to ensure that content is appropriate for the school environment. We reserve the right to repaint the rock without notice.
● The renter of the rock must supply paint, rollers, brushes and appropriate clothing for painting the rock. All supplies and the area around the rock must be left as you found it. Please clean up after yourself and do not leave any paint or materials on or around the rock.
● Reminders to paint the spirit rock will not be sent out by the PTO. Please set your own reminders so that you don't miss your week.
Please note that the date of the time slot is the Friday for which your week begins. Once reserving the spot, please go ahead and pay online below or send payment to school.
