Staying connected is important for adult and kids. One of the most challenging things for our kids is being isolated from their school and SHADES friends. We at SHADES also miss that daily connection, so please join us in staying connected by participating daily on your site GroupMe group and SHADES weekly Zoom meeting.
On GroupMe you will find daily posts, SHADES family communications and bi-weekly student challenges. GroupMe is a great way to stay connected and engaged in a fun and lively way. Bi-weekly challenges will be posted for your kids to complete. If you have not already connected to you SHADES site GroupMe group, please contact your site director. Please note: GroupMe is a SMS group text messaging service, so be sure to download the app prior to joining to avoid group messages blowing up your phone.
During weekly Zoom meeting students will have a chance to visit and catch up with their SHADES teachers and SHADES friends. Discussions might just be catching up, or they may center around challenges or burning questions. From time-to-time there may be a live activity such as an indoor scavenger hunt that requires quick thinking, creativity and a lot of laughs. Zoom meeting links will be posted in GroupMe. Contact your site director if you are not already a member of your site's GroupMe group.
