This is where I'm keeping all the cool stuff that I want other people to know about, and also where I'm keeping random things that I find that I want to remember.
This is one my all-time favorite articles. It goes relatively in depth about Onfim (who was a child artist living in Russia in the thirteenth century). It's so great.
One of my favorite Onfim artworks, called Onfim Goes to War.
Theyyam is a Hindu ceremony that involves extremely elaborate costuming and performance art. I think it's visually very beautiful.
Trigger warning for those who are put off by death (I removed the display image since it's literally a photo of the corpse). This story is so incredibly weird, but so equally fascinating, and it's really fantastic for people who like to read about mysteries. My favorite bit, I think, is the note found in his pants pocket-- "tamám shud", or, "it is over". Another article very similar to this one is the Lead Masks Case , if you're interested.
Fun fact, the kappa is my second-favorite mythical creature (coming in close second to the Loch Ness Monster). It's a Japanese pond monster with a water-filled dip on its head (which, if drained, becomes its weakness) that kills anyone who gets too close. People like to collect alleged kappa corpses and bones, and there's evidently an entire craft dedicated to fashioning believable kappa mummies. Say less.
Bridge Kids is one of my favorite internet shows currently (I don't think it's available on any streaming platform yet, but I'm still holding onto my hope for an Adult Swim contract). It's incredibly funny and well-written, and I quote it all the time (the world got a brotha feelin' morose).
Vewn and Twins in Paradise are FANTASTIC. It's a very specific, neon, I'm-going-insane-and-you're-coming-with-me art style that I've never seen anyone else recreate. I need to get my hands on some Vewn merch, seriously.
NOTE : THIS VIDEO IS THE FULL 14 MINUTE DVD VERSION, AND IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY WEIRDER THAN THE CLIPPED VERSION. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND BEFORE WATCHING IT.
This may be a hot take since this video does genuinely irk a lot of people, but I absolutely adore this kind of surrealism. I'm personally not too put off by the robot or the lyrics (which include "Run, run, run, run", a particularly odd detail that a lot of people cite when expressing their disapproval of I Feel Fantastic)-- I view it as more of a weirdly specific art form that is sort of misunderstood. The guy who built Tara the Android (which is the blond robot we see in this clip of the full video, he's made others), John Bergeron, is an enigma that I recommend looking into. Speaking of which, here's his lovely segment on Android World . com (as immortalized by Wayback Machine, please keep in mind that this website is a little bit weird in several regards and is not entirely about androids, I have not explored the entire thing so I can't promise you that there isn't anything weird on it. Be careful).
GOD, I love this movie. It's so weird and creepy and, in a weird way, almost funny..? Most people know its soundtrack since a few tracks went viral on TikTok, but I feel like the actual film is overlooked far too often. Its production quality is less than fantastic (Tara the Andriod reference), but it's still entertaining (at least to me).
The embed next to this text (or adjacent to, if you're on a phone) is an interactive copy of the Heaven's Gate website. If you're not familar with Heaven's Gate: they were a cult of between 40 and 50 people (I always forget how many exactly) who were led by a man and a woman calling themselves "Ti" and "Do". Ti and Do convinced their followers that they were beings from another planet and that if they did as they said that they could join them on a UFO back to their home planet (which was likened to heaven). Tragically, the cult's existence ended in mass suicide (which is the "departure" you see referenced here). It's a very awful story and I've always found it appalling that someone still pays to run the site and keep this nonsense up, but if you're interested in crazy people being crazy, it's worth checking out.
Gotta love the banjo wizard.
This is a searchable database of Jeffrey Epstein's emails that also provides links to the direct government record of each specific email. It beautifully incriminates a certain tangerine-colored fascist and is designed in a really innovative way. Seriously though, some of these are really disgusting- as I said in the warning, exercise caution if you choose to explore the site.
Hack This Site is a lot of fun for new coders who want to fiddle around with cybersecurity. I'm kind of off my coding kick now, but for a while I loved playing around with this website. It's a fantastic concept.
This is my profile and main playlist on Spotify (which I know isn't good to support, but I haven't found a better alternative yet). I've made a LOT of playlists over the past few years, each of them dedicated to a different sound, artist or genre. I LOVE making playlists.
This is a sheet of all of my favorite songs. Unfortunately, once I put it here I can't add anything to it, but currently there are over a thousand songs on it. The stuff towards the bottom is everything up until 3/9/26. Do not play desert island with me.
