About Mrs. Torres

My name is Mrs. Torres and I am so happy to introduce myself as your third grade teacher! While I know the start of this school year looks different from years past, I look forward to still creating fun memories and watching you grow this year. I’m excited to meet you all online in a few weeks and even more excited to spend time with you in person in the future.

This will be my seventh year teaching third grade and it is by far my favorite grade to work with! When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband and our two year old daughter, Grace. We also have a senior dachshund named Shady.

San Gabriel was my home for most of my life and I am a proud graduate of SGUSD. I completed my undergraduate and credential programs at Cal State Long Beach (Go Beach!). This spring I completed a Master’s program in Reading and Literacy instruction from California State Univeristy, Fullerton. Since then, I have been enjoying my newfound free time reading for fun, learning how to garden, and playing outside with Grace. We enjoy being outdoors and exploring new places. Colorful pens and Starbucks are two of my favorite things, as you will see!
