Ms. Bandstra
Welcome to 7th grade ELA, Math and Computers! Here you will find our classroom guidelines and agreements, classroom policies/ syllabus, and our weekly schedule.
*Parents and students: if you are absent and would like to know about your make up work, please send me an email or talk with me before/after class or after school. I will help you get what you need to make up work. You can also check Infinite Campus for missing assignments and use this site.
Additionally, if you do not have access to Wi-Fi to complete Amplify assignments (or any other assignments), PLEASE email me. I have hard copies of curriculum text books and can highlight sections for you to do the work in paper form. We can arrange pick up at the SGMS office. If you are feeling lost, or do not understand assignments, please email me and I will help you navigate while you are away. Students are expected to make up work they miss while away. They will be offered extensions as needed after consulting with me. Thank you!

*Note on free writes: free writing is meant to be a very low stake writing opportunity--it is a chance for students to continue to practice getting flow from brain to paper, a time to experiment with language use and form, point of view, voice, and ideas. Students are graded for completing the minimum required sentence amount for each prompt (and making an effort to always use complete sentences for everything but poetry), but are not graded on grammar, spelling, syntax, etc. All of these writings should be kept in one journal that we will use for the entire year, and is handed in bi-weekly.
