Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School is a community of learners, parents/guardians,teachers, staff, and resource personnel who strive to make our Catholic Community not simply a concept to be taught, but a reality to be lived and experienced daily. We believe we are called to create an atmosphere where each child is encouraged to grow and develop to his/her greatest potential, empowered to go forth and meet the challenges and needs of an ever-changing world.

Parents/guardians are an integral part of the school community and are encouraged to volunteer through several opportunities scheduled within the school year in support of our school. Currently, these opportunities are available and are viewed as an opportunity to provide stewardship for the school through volunteering 25 hours and working at least two Friday Bingo events (this is a per family requirement). The first two bingos DO NOT count towards your volunteer hours

It is recognized that volunteering/stewardship is a personal choice and how that is accomplished is an individual family decision to make. Volunteering with other organizations does not reduce the volunteer hours associated with SGGS. Each organization is an identifiable identity with requirements that fall outside the SGGS volunteer expectation outlined in this handbook.
