UPCOMING EVENTS
SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER
The Knights of Columbus St. Benedict Council 9056 is sponsoring their traditional Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at St. Gregory the Great School on Tuesday, February 17 in Immaculata Hall from 5:30PM to 7:00PM. Menu includes Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, Fruit, Cereal, Milk, Coffee, Tea and Juice. Tickets will be sold at the door. Adults $9.00… Children 4 – 12 yrs. $5.00...Under 4 Free.
Bring the family and enjoy Shrove Tuesday festivities. This tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when the day before Ash Wednesday marked the time of spiritual preparation centering on repentance and confession. Since Christians had to abstain from eating meat, fat, eggs and dairy products during the 40 days of Lent, pancakes were an easy way to use up many of the staples that otherwise would go bad during the Lenten fast. Bring family and friends and join brother Knights and the church community in enjoying a delicious pre-Lenten Pancake Supper feast in preparation for the Lenten Season.
And don’t forget the first Fish Fry of Lent follows right behind on Friday February 20.

LITURGICAL AND SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Spending quiet time in the presence of our Lord in the Eucharist is a beautiful way to disconnect from the world and recalibrate our focus on His enduring love for us. Spend a few minutes with him in prayer! Our parish offers a number of opportunities to attend adoration:
Fridays: Adoration is available following the 8:30 a.m. Daily Mass through 4 p.m. every Friday in the church or chapel depending on our schedule. At the 1 p.m. hour, all are welcome to gather and pray for the dignity of all human life. The hour includes the rosary, Divine Mercy, and other guided prayers.
Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available every Saturday following the 8 a.m. Mass. Penitents must be in line by 10 a.m. to receive the sacrament. Those attending the morning Mass are able to save their place in line.
