Fenway and Hattie

What is Everybody Reads?

Throughout the month of January, each of the district’s four elementary schools will be reading the same book, Fenway and Hattie

The district will be giving one copy of the book to each family with an elementary school-aged child, to all staff members that interact with these children in our district, and businesses that our families patronize throughout the community.

The book was chosen by district library media specialists and teachers. It tells the story of Fenway, a curious dog undergoing some major life changes when he and his family move.

In addition to reading, students have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt throughout South Glens Falls. Look for Fenway’s picture in participating businesses in the community, fill out your scavenger hunt forms and return them to your elementary school.

Students will also be given a special Fenway bookmark to keep their place as we work through the book .
