I am my sister's keeper

I was introduced to Bee Tru in October of 2017. At the time, I didn’t know that October was Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I was just trying to find a healthy way mourn my little sister’s shocking and brutal murder due dv/ipv. After speaking the the founder of Bee TrU for over 2 hours (while she was shopping in Target) and viewing their website, I knew that this organization was something and special. I was invited to a meeting with Bee TrU a few months later and it was at that meeting and a few months after that I was invited to speak at a community event that they hosted. I was so impressed and moved by the members and how they communicated their mission To the public, I decided to join the organization. Now, I am an active board member if Bee TrU Awareness Outreach, Inc. This organization has changed my life, taught me so much about human interactions and relationships. I just want to be a part of spreading awareness and preventing another family of burying a loved one due to domestic violence or intimate partner violence.
