Math for the rest of the school year

The math goal for the rest of the year is complete the Think Stretch book. The book is divided by weeks. Every week, Mrs. Hanna and I will be contacted you about what you have completed in the book. For math, you can let me know through a Zoom meeting or an email. In addition, you may continue using Zearn, Freckle, Mystery Science or whatever site you wish.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM: Writing Prompt- WOULD YOU RATHER?

If you were playing a team sport...Would you rather:

  • best the worst player on a team that always wins.

Make your choice, and answer in complete paragraph format. Topic sentence, at least three detail sentences, and a wrap up sentence that restates your main idea (topic).

Social Studies Unit


4th Grade Social Studies Activities

Please choose 1 activity each week.


Gov't-Amend a Law/Tell me why you would change the rule or law. Write a law you would want in your state and tell me why you would want that law.

Economics-Open your own business. Tell me what kind of business and list the items you would need for your business. List the prices and the total cost of items you will need. Make an advertisement for your business.

History-Pick one adult that is over 35.It could be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.... Make a list of 10 to 15 interesting questions to get to know this special person. You can call them and ask them the questions and write the answers down on paper. Then write a biography on this person's life.

Geography-Name all the cities you have been to in Michigan. Pick one city you have been to and describe what the city looked like, what stores were there, what restaurants were there, what rivers or lakes did you visit, what natural resources are there?

History-Make a timeline of your life or a special person in your family. Make sure you at least have 15 events in time order. Write the event and the date with the year.

History-Make a family tree. Include the names and dates of your family members that were born. Include grandparents, great-grandparents, stepdads/stepmoms, etc...

Gov't-Your city government is thinking about removing one of the parks you play at to put in a grocery store. Do you agree or disagree? Write a letter to your mayor explaining why you agree or disagree with removing the park you play at. Include a greeting, 2 to 3 different reasons, and a closing. Think about the Core Democratic Values-Pursuit of Happiness, Equality, Justice, Common Good to help with your explanations.
