One of the most important features of the game
Beatmaps are the heart of osu! gameplay. They define the rhythm and patterns players follow while playing songs.
Each beatmap corresponds to a specific song a difficulty level.
Measures: Beats are grouped into measures. Measures start from downbeats, represented by large white ticks on the beatmap editor timeline.
Tempo: The time between each beat depends on the song's tempo.
Each beatmap has multiple difficulty levels. Those levels are measured by stars. For example, a one-star map is usally considered easy and a five-star map usually means it is a much harder map.
Osu! has a vibrant community of mappers who create and share beatmaps. players can download and play beatmaps created by others.
So wait no more! Try to make one yourself in the beatmap editor!
