About Me

Hello, my name is Mr. Mitchell Sylvester and I am looking forward to get to know each and every student.

As a graduate of BSU with my degree in Mathematics it is with great pleasure that I begin my teaching career here at St. Francis. After spending some time in the financial field and working with technology there it is a great opportunity to get back to working with children. During my college days I worked part time at my local Boys and Girls club where I was the go to for homework help in all things math and tech related. I truly loved working with kids but found an opportunity for full time work at a financial institution. After a few years I found myself feeling unfulfilled and pursued at career change that allowed me to work with students again. I got my teaching license and was fortunate enough to be hired this fall. I look forward to working with students both in the mathematical and technological settings.

On a more personal note I am a proud father of 2 children one of whom is in Prek-4 here at St Francis. I married my high school sweetheart and we've been married coming up on 5 years already. Aside from keeping busy with my two children under the age of 5, I am a die hard Celtics and Red Sox fan and enjoy sharing that with my son.

I look forward to meeting students and families as the year goes on. I hope in being sort of a Swiss Army Knife I can really get to know and help all the faculty and students.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns that relate to me or my classes.

Sincerely,

Mr. Sylvester
