About Sra. Ellis:
Kim Ellis is Minnesota transplant who has been teaching at George Washington High School since 2013. Prior to joining GWHS, she taught Spanish at Taylor Middle School in Millbrae, California, was a 4th grade classroom teacher, and English as a Second Language teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She currently serves as chair of the World Language department, has previously worked as an induction coach for new teachers, and served as the Digital Learning Facilitator for our school site. She attended Santa Clara University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, and received a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota in Curriculum and Instruction in Teaching Secondary Spanish and English as a Second Language. She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, and lived, volunteered, and traveled throughout Costa Rica. When she's not teaching her favorite language, she loves traveling the world with her family, hiking, reading, practicing Italian and German on Duolingo, and the occasional siesta.
