These lessons expand the idea of what math is, how it is done, and who is involved in the process. Each week in this unit has a theme. Week 1 theme: My math identity and community. Week 2 theme: Stronger together. This unit emphasizes that we each bring unique strengths to our math community and we value each other as resources in order to solve groupworthy challenges. Throughout the lessons, there are teacher and student tech tips. These videos are not to be used as a stand alone function for teaching technology or posting to a Google Classroom. These are videos and comments intended only for teachers who want to explore more about the technology in the lesson in order to work the technology and explain to students how to engage with the technology.
