Welcome to the 2021-2022 RMS Science Fair!
Welcome! We're excited to host the 2021-2022 Roosevelt Middle School Science Fair.
The science fair is a yearly project where our students explore topics they are excited about and passionate about! The science fair helps prepare the next generation of critical and creative thinkers through a project that aims to emphasize the joy and accessibility of science. This helps prepare young people not only for bright futures in STEM, but for all of their life's pursuits by building their group work skills, long-term organizational thinking, independence, analytic skills, creative problem solving, computational thinking, and effective communication.
On this website, you will find links to the websites for the preliminary winners from each science class organized by grade level. Students' projects fall under one of four categories: biology; physical sciences; behavioral, social, and health sciences; or environmental sciences.
Historically, students would get to present their projects and answer any questions with judges at our in-person fair. Unfortunately, due to Covid this is not currently an option, but we are very proud of all of our students who come from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. While we are disappointed students cannot share their enthusiasm and knowledge in person, we hope their work speaks for themselves, and that these websites demonstrate their knowledge of their topic. Students spent four months working hard on these projects, so we hope you enjoy!
Congratulations to our winners!
