Meet your teachers!

Ms. Harding

I am originally from Santa Monica, CA. I loved my own elementary school experience so much that I knew I wanted to become a teacher from a young age. I graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, MA where I majored in psychology, played on the women’s basketball team, and volunteered in local elementary schools. I then earned my Master’s in Education from Stanford University. Since graduating, I have spent six years teaching in San Francisco public schools and one year working at an educational technology company called Clever. This will be my third year teaching third grade at Lafayette! When I’m not teaching, I love running, hiking, playing sports, and spending time with my friends and family.

Ms. Paxhia

I am a Special Education teacher here at Lafayette Elementary School. I started teaching in 2003 in Boston, Massachusetts and completed my Masters in Special Education at Wheelock College in 2005. I lived and taught in Boston until 2009 when I moved to San Francisco in pursuit of nicer weather and to continue teaching. During my time in SFUSD I have worked as a resource specialist and Safe and Supportive Schools coach where I spent time at many different schools. I feel very fortunate to have found a spot at Lafayette. I am continuously impressed by the community here and am grateful everyday to come work with such wonderful people.

When I am not at school, you can find me enjoying the outdoors. I am a competitive sailor and also love to surf, cycle, swim and hike. My family moved west to San Francisco shortly after me, and my husband, daughter and I are lucky to be able to spend time with them be it exploring the city, sailing, walking their dogs at Ocean Beach, or enjoying a picnic at Golden Gate Park.

Mr. Ramon

My name is Ramon Thompson and I was born and raised in San Francisco. I enjoy traveling and love exploring the outdoors. I like to go on hikes and work out outside.

Currently, I’m attending SF State and working towards my teaching credential
