About Matsuura - Sensei

Ms. Eriko Matsuura was born and raised in Nagoya, Japan. She was educated in Japan, as well as in the United States. While living in Japan, she had the opportunity to teach Japanese. Through that experience, she became interested in teaching Japanese as a second language and studied Japanese language education and pedagogy, at San Francisco State University. She has been teaching at SFSU, USF, and other Japanese programs in the Bay Area.

She likes to do in her spare time are , cooking, doing embroidery, and traveling. Also, she likes In her free time, she practices capoeira (Brazilian martial arts), and has traveled to Brazil to attend a range of capoeira events, including international competitions.
