Participant Learning Outcomes

    • Explain how the Internet works.
    • Distinguish the world wide web from the Internet.
    • Understand that information is broken down into smaller pieces, transmitted as packets through multiple devices over networks and the Internet, and reassembled at the destination. (Packet Switching)
    • Introduce efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security as core design principles to the Internet.
    • Understand that protocols are the rules governing how data is transmitted across networks and the Internet. (Protocols/Seven layer OSI model)
