Summer Institute

Welcome to the 2017 San Francisco Computer Science Summer Institute. The Summer Institute is part of SF-CS4ALL, a collaborative project initiated between San Francisco State University and the San Francisco Unified School District to address the challenges of providing all students the opportunity to participate in CS education in their schools at the K-12 levels by enriching their curriculum specific and general content knowledge including emerging technologies. The 2017 Summer Institute is designed to deliver professional development that supports teachers in developing:

    1. High level of self-efficacy
    2. Computer science content knowledge
    3. Culturally relevant, student-centered pedagogy
    4. Equity-based recruitment and support strategies
