For high school computer science (CS) teachers, we will provide topic-specific CS content requested by the teachers, including client server, the Internet of things, and cybersecurity. San Francisco State University instructors will assist the teachers in co-creating instructional materials and projects to implement in their classrooms.
Follow the path of an application from user to back-end to user. This day will be spent delving into client-server architecture, HTTP protocol, server side applications (Node JS, PHP) client side.

This course will provide an opportunity to go in-depth with the Arduino, including:
- Electronics 101: Basics of electronic components such as resistors and LEDs and connecting them via a solderless prototyping board.
- Introduction to the Arduino: Embedded C programming; using the Arduino IDE to upload sketches; build an electronic random dice using the Arduino.

This course discusses core concepts associated with cybersecurity through hands-on exercises:
- Day 1: Cryptography - Motivation, Cryptosystem, Encryption and Decryption, Data Integrity
- Day 2: Network Security - Computer Networks and Internet, DNS Name Resolution, Cache Poisoning Attack, DNSSEC. Day 2 will focus on “DNS service” - name resolution services, the possible attacks and the solutions.
