All about Tchotchke/Magpie Oracle

Tchotchke/Magpie Oracle is the reading of miscellaneous items and how they fall into or in line with each other. The word Tchotchke, originally Yiddish, means a random or miscellaneous item, a knick-knack, so it makes sense why these readings are called this. 

These readings can be done with many or fewer items, and all you need to start are the items, a lipped board for throwing, a method of cleansing, and your pure intention! I recommend starting with 8-10 items, but if you can or can't remember what they all mean, you can go with more or fewer. I currently have 13 items in mine. Just note that however many items you choose are all things you must remember the meanings for. 

I currently have Items that represent things like spirit, romance, strength, fear, sadness, depression, fortune, etc... but you can come up with other meanings for objects. These objects could also be anything you want! a paper clip, a random key that doesn't work, a small sturdy crystal, a dice, or a pair of die, anything can be used in these kits. 

Once you have gathered your items, cleanse them in your preferred way or a way that works for you, and throw them onto your board or table! see how things interact, what's on top of each other? What's blocking your full potential? Most importantly, you must have one item that represents you or the person you're reading for. Wherever this piece is, that is the most important. What's on top of you? Burdening you? far away from you? Consider these things and get creative! these readings are so fun for anyone willing to get creative or start something new and original.
