I am very blessed to serve as the Campus Minister and 6th-8th Grade Religion Teacher for St. Francis de Sales School. My mission is to create opportunities for people to experience God’s love, live an active Christian lifestyle, and to make learning about the Catholic faith engaging and relevant through the use of music, technology, and Catholic text in guiding them to be the best version of themselves.
Previously, I was a middle school English teacher and a music and religion teacher at two other Catholic schools in our Archdiocese.
After graduating from Alief Hastings High School, I finished my Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications from The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em Horns!) with concentrations in Advertising and Business Foundations.
Additionally, I have a Master’s Degree in Catholic Education from the University of St. Thomas and had the privilege to be part of the GRACE (Gulf Region Academy for Catholic Educators) Program.
On my free time, I love to jog (I've ran 7 Chevron Marathons so far!), try new restaurants, play board games, spend time with friends and family and travel around the world (I've been to 6 of the 7 continents!). Who knows, maybe I may go to Antarctica one of these days!
I enjoy actively serving God as either a vocalist, pianist or clarinetist for Masses and serve for various Catholic events and retreats around the Archdiocese. In the past, I have been heavily involved in evangelizing others through music ministry, Life Teen, Bayou Awakening, and Missionary Families of Christ - Singles.
Lastly, my favorite Bible verse comes from Jeremiah 29:11, "For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope."
