Teacher Bio:

I have been working for the St. Francis de Sales Parish School since 2007. I began my career with the Delavan/Darien School District. While employed there I taught fourth and fifth grade. I was employed with the public school district for 13 years.  I took some time off from teaching to raise my family and returned part-time to SFdS as the computer teacher, then the following year, I was hired as the First Grade teacher. I was also the Director of Religious Education for the Parish for several years too! I love working with children and especially enjoy helping students discover their academic interests and talents! 

In 2018, I was awarded the Herb Kohl Fellowship Award. I was very honored to have been selected for this prestigious award. Recipients are educators who have been chosen for their superior ability to inspire a love of learning in their students, their ability to motivate others, and their leadership service within and outside of the classroom.  The Kohl Foundation Scholarship and Fellowship program was established by Herb Kohl, U.S. Senator (Retired), in 1990. To date, the foundation has awarded nearly $34 million to Wisconsin educators, students, and schools.

I earned my bachelors degree, with an emphasis in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I enjoy spending my free time with family, especially my three sons. My oldest Jacob, graduated from Northern Michigan in 2013 with a Criminal Justice degree and is Conservation Warden for the State of Wisconsin DNR. He and his wife, Ashley and two sons; Jordan and Nolan recently moved to Sturgeon Bay! I am so excited they are closer because I love being a Grandma! Nicholas, my middle son, graduated in 2017 from Michigan Tech University as a Civil Engineer. He is employed at Ames Construction and lives in Fargo, ND with his Fiancée' Laura! My youngest son, Andrew graduated from UW-Platteville as a Mechanical Engineering and is employed at Brunk Industries here in Lake Geneva. I also, likes to read, go for walks with friends, gardening, and craft projects. Lastly, I also love to spend time with my adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, named Maggie Mae!
