St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church
My Dear Parishioners,
As the guidance from Bishop Spalding the Obligation will return the weekend of Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Under the direction of Bishop Spalding we are asked to increase seating availability so we are opening one side (the tabernacle side) with no social distancing. The other side (Holy Family side) will be every other pew social distanced, considering some of the concerns of our parishioners.
Face masks are highly recommended at all weekend Masses and optional at weekday Masses.
At this time all Mass times remain the same including Friday’s noon Mass.
This weekend (Palm Sunday) and next weekend (Easter) each Mass will be live streamed in the Parish Life Center (old Church) to assist with overflow.
This weekend and onward the Ushers will be taking up the offertory collection.
As Bishop Spalding mentioned in his letter, the Code of Canon Law envisions situations where the obligation does not apply because of grave cause, serious risks and concerns about Covid can certainly constitute that grave cause. The code also gives pastors the faculty to dispense individual persons from the Sunday obligation.
If you are seeking further dispensation under these circumstances, please contact Fr. James at 615.444.1947 or jamespanackal@gmail.com
I graciously appreciate your cooperation over the last year and hoping to continue it.
I wish each of you a Blessed Holy Week.
With the assurance of prayers,
Rev. James Panackal, CMI
Today, Jesus reminds us that love is an investment; it draws close through concrete action, and doesn’t
hold back. The ongoing Bishop’s Annual Appeal for Ministries is one way that we can “incarnate” our
own love for this parish community. Please consider giving generously.

New message from Bishop Spalding: As springtime begins anew, I am pleased to announce a new phase of our response to the covid-19 pandemic that has afflicted our world for over a year.
