Suggest a Term

The YPS field is a dynamic, living ecosystem. Help us expand this lexicon by contributing terms and definitions that reflect the unique peacebuilding realities of your specific culture, language, and local context.

Terms of Submission

1. Any individual/practitioner/researcher/youth, irrespective of GCYPS membership or organisational affiliation, can suggest a new term or edits to the existing terms. 

2. Suggestions are voluntary and do not entitle contributors to financial compensation or remuneration.

3. Submissions must follow the required format: term, definition, relevance to the Youth, Peace & Security (YPS) agenda, and supporting resources.

4. Submitted terms and definitions may be edited, adapted, or refined for clarity, consistency, and alignment with the lexicon.

5. By submitting, contributors grant permission for their input to be used, published, and shared without restriction.

6. Individual authorship or recognition is not guaranteed for accepted terms.

7. The GCYPS retains full discretion over whether a suggested term is accepted, modified, or declined.

8. Contributors may be contacted for clarification or additional information regarding their submission.
