「學校推薦直接錄取計劃」旨在認同一些具有才華而未能在香港中學文憑考試（文憑試）獲全面評核的本地中學生。它基本上是一個「課程與學生配對」的計劃，提供機會予在個別學科/範疇具有特殊才華及興趣的中學生獲本地大學考慮直接錄取。

SNDAS was introduced to recognise the talent of local secondary students that could not be fully assessed by the HKDSE Examination.  It is a “programme-student matching exercise” in essence that provides opportunities for secondary students who have demonstrated exceptional talents and interests in specific disciplines/areas to be considered for direct admission to local universities.

  The eight UGC-funded universities have designated a total of over 220 publicly-funded undergraduate programmes to participate in the third cohort of SNDAS. Please click here for the specific admission requirements for each programme.
  
  

• 名額：每間中學可推薦兩名學生
  Each local secondary school has a quota of TWO nominations
  
  

• 錄取通知：參與直接錄取計劃的大學將在文憑試成績公布前，向獲推薦並成功申請的學生發出「直接錄取」通知。
  Announcement and Acceptance of Offers: Participating universities will make firm offers to successful SNDAS student nominees before releasing the HKDSE Examination results.

• 入學方面：教資會資助大學將特別為在體育方面具有非凡成就的準學生推出直接錄取計劃或優化現有入學渠道；及
  Admission: The UGC-funded universities will introduce direct admission schemes or streamline existing admission channels targeted for prospective students with remarkable achievements in sports; and
  
  

• 學習支援方面：教資會資助大學將在中央及個人層面為學生運動員提供專屬支援，例如透過聘任學生運動員支援統籌專員，為學生運動員由入學至畢業提供一站式指導及支援。大學亦將增聘個人教學助理，加強對每位學生運動員在學業上的支援。
  Learning support: The UGC-funded universities will offer personalised support to student-athletes at central and individual levels, such as the appointment of Student-Athlete Support Coordinators for one-stop guidance and support from admission to graduation, as well as additional personal teaching assistants to enhance academic support for student-athletes at the individual level.
