School Community Garden

The SFA School Garden is a community partnership with Gateway Greeening.

This outdoor space on our campus allows students and teachers endless possibilities to expand the school curriculum into the outdoors.

The Garden has been in place since the fall of 2017. The garden provides a unique learning environment across many curriculums. We watch fall crops get harvested, we plant winter crops and we plant and watch spring growth. Our students love the Pumpkin Graveyard, we watch pumpkins decay over the fall and winter and see what pumpkins sprout in the spring.

With a the award of a recent Gateway Greening Garden Expansion grant SFA has been able to add 2 additional above ground beds, 4 new benches for outdoor learning and some new small person sized garden equipement.
