This year in Language Arts class, we will complete several units of study covering various genres of literature.
The first unit is our Personal Experiences unit, where the students will review story and plot elements and be introduced to fiction, nonfiction, and poetry readings that enable them to connect with authors’ and characters’ personal experiences.
The other units include a Theatrical Presentation Unit that concentrates on the elements of suspense as well as drama and humor within literature and film, one on persuasion which allows your student to analyze real world persuasion in advertising, and a unit focused on historical fiction.
