AIM is a self-contained special education classroom for students in grades 6-8. In this classroom we work individually and in small groups with students using various teaching techniques and strategies including DTI (discrete trial instruction), TA (task analysis), modeling, sensory integration, and assistive technology. Students work to develop functional academics, daily living, communication and pre-vocational skills.
Life Skills is a pull out special education class that students participate in to develop daily living, safety, social, community and pre-vocational skills. Students engage in a variety of hands on activities that allow them to actively use focused skills in real life settings. This includes cooking, group activities, community outings, consumer data projects, guest speakers, and much more.
