This is Jack’s first year in FTC, but he has been involved with the FIRST ever since joining in FLL in 7th grade—amounting to two years in FLL and one year in FTC. What he likes most about FIRST is its problem solving oriented nature in its designing and programming of robots to perform sophisticated tasks. In the team setting, Jack likes to work on the engineering side of things—working the structure and components of the robot into a cohesive whole—and he occasionally helps with the programming.
