We study interior design topics and techniques and create things relating to interior design. This club meets once a month.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
In our monthly meetings, we explore careers in the business world and compete in business competitions. We also work community service by hosting a Halloween Fair for the Carey Community and a Thanksgiving Food Drive for families in need.

Animal Alert Club
We meet monthly on Tuesdays to give students a forum to share their appreciation, concern and protective efforts for all animals.

Robotics
Affiliated with First LEGO League Challenge, this club is an opportunity for students in grades 7 and 8 to engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering. Students will build and program a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. In the 2022-2023 season Team IronHawks was awarded the Core Values award for discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork, and fun.

Be a Buddy
This club provides students of all learning styles, as well as diverse social comforts, with a safe environment to engage in social activities led by peer mentors. We meet on Wednesday from 3-4PM.

We compete in conferences representing countries and covering a wide variety of international issues.

We work to raise breast cancer awareness within the school and community. We meet bi-weekly and host several events throughout the year and make gifts for patients going through cancer treatments.

Go Green!
We act to relay environmental education and current events to the Carey Community. We also serve our community in various beautification roles around the campus and beyond. We meet bi-weekly.

National Junior Honor Society
Students are invited to join in grade 9. Qualifications include a 90 cumulative average at the end of marking period 3 of 8th grade. To maintain their membership students must display the 4 pillars of scholarship, leadership, character and service through volunteer work community service, peer tutoring programs and service projects.

FCCLA
Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America is a national organization. The work of FCCLA focuses on expanding leadership opportunities and building skills for life, including goal setting, problem solving and interpersonal skills. FCCLA offers competitive events in the areas of Education & Training, Hospitality & Tourism, Human Services, Visual Arts and Design, and Real World Skills. Participation in competitions offers possibilities for travel and potential scholarships opportunities.

We have two groups that each meet once per month to plan and cook together. This club is for all grade levels BUT has a limited membership due to safety.

We perform with the marching band during home football games, parades and the Newsday Marching Band Festival. All students are welcome to join the color guard in the spring for next falls squad.

The Clipper
Our school newspaper gives student staff members the opportunity for experiences in journalism. There are many roles for students in all grade levels, and the entire staff works to see the newspaper develop from ideas to publication.

Our school's literary and art magazine is published annually. The student editors select poems, essays, short stories, original artwork and photos submitted by the student body and they prepare the publication for distribution in the spring.

This club will provide students with a chance to communicate and share their mathematical knowledge as they compete in competitions with their peers.

Spanish Leadership Club
Spanish Leadership club helps students to practice Spanish and enjoy the hispanic culture. Members participate in a various activities such as crafts, dancing, cooking, foreign films, field trips and more. Volunteers from the Spanish Club are available to tutor Spanish scholars.

The Investment Club is open to students in grades 7–12. Members will participate in the Stock Market Game, a simulation of the real market where each team begins with $100,000 to invest in companies of their choice. Students will research, collaborate with teammates, and compete against other schools across Long Island. Along the way, they’ll also build valuable skills in money management and investing.
