Rep. DuBuclet's bio
Kimberly Neely du Buclet serves as State Representative for Illinois’ 5th District, representing communities across Chicago’s South Side and Downtown, including Bronzeville, Hyde Park, Woodlawn, Washington Park and the South Loop.
She chairs the Illinois House Museums, Arts, Culture & Entertainment Committee and serves on several key committees focused on energy and environment, public utilities, higher education, cybersecurity, restorative justice, and public safety.
Prior to joining the General Assembly, Kim served as Vice President and Commissioner of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, where she championed environmental justice, sustainability, climate resilience, and public health protections. She also served as Director of Legislative and Community Affairs for the Chicago Park District, leading legislative strategy, community engagement, and efforts to strengthen neighborhood parks and programming.
Kim’s experience across government, community engagement, corporate account management, alumni relations, and career development informs her commitment to improving quality of life for communities across Chicago’s South Side.
She is actively involved in civic and professional organizations, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links, Incorporated, and the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools alumni board.
