Seton BSU

Purpose

The Black Student Union is a coalition of Seton students for the protection, representation, and appreciation of Black people in and around the Seton community. Seton's BSU is here to give a home to the voices of historically marginalized students and amplify those voices for meaningful change.

We are sisters supporting sisters, healing each other, dismantling racism - a radical kind of self-love.

What we've done

Seton's BSU was first established in the school year of 2020-2021. Although new, we are making strides and show no signs of stopping. To date, we have garnered support from Seton's Board of Directors. We have multiple projects in the works including an upcoming mentorship program and an ongoing social justice media campaign. Our proudest achievement remains engaging the Seton community in equity-focused conversations for the purpose of understanding and pursuing an anti-racist future. We believe in the power of our voices and our community. So, Sis keep your eyes open and watch the come-up.
