Meet Mr. Segal

I am excited to spend my first year as a Bishop Bobcat! A few highlights of my life story:

• I grew up in Portland, OR.

• I went to Pomona College in Southern California and majored in American Studies.

• I taught Outdoor School and Science Camp all over Oregon, including the Oregon Coast.

• I got my Master's in Elementary Education and Multiple Subject Credential at Stanford University in 2013.

• I got my Education Specialist Credential at San Jose State University in 2018.

• I began my career at Vargas Elementary School in Sunnyvale, where I taught 2nd grade, 1st grade, and RSP. I spent seven wonderful years at Vargas.

• This is my second year at Bishop -- I taught 3rd grade last year, and I am very excited to be in Kindergarten this year!

• I have also taught in Sunnyvale School District's summer school and Stretch to Kindergarten programs in the summer.

• I love music and play guitar and ukulele throughout the school day.

• I have a wife named Cara and a 15-month-old named Caleb. I love my family!
